Tom Feifar – General Manager

Tom Feifar is the General Manager of Optimum Vehicle Logistics, LLC (OVL), a position he has held since January 2015.  He is responsible for the company’s day-to-day business, including sales, business development, supply chain, finance, and warehouse operations.  Prior to that he worked for Navistar International Corporation, formerly International Harvester, for more than 33 years.  He held numerous senior leadership positions in various divisions within the company, including sales and business development, distribution operations, overseas territory management, defense, procurement, and finance.

Tom has spent approximately half of his career developing and executing plans and strategies to grow Navistar’s sales and profits in markets worldwide. Having traveled to over 50 countries, he has researched markets, competition, and distribution candidates; developed product and support plans for market introduction as well as long-term sustainment; and worked with dealers, customers, and government entities to provide them with cost-effective equipment and transportation solutions.


He spent almost five years in Navistar’s Dubai, U.A.E. office after having set up the facility.  He had responsibility for sales, service, and business development for Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia and managed distributors in 22 countries.


In other aspects of his career, Tom served as Director of Finance for the Overseas Division; was a founding employee and Director of Sales for Blue Diamond Parts, LLC, a joint venture with Ford, where he built the first sales organization for the JV, which had grown to nearly $700 million in less than ten years; and served as V.P., Parts Distribution Operations, where he was responsible for 12 facilities and more than 500 employees.


Tom served a three-year term on his children’s school advisory board, was a board member of Operation Homefront, a military-focused charity, from 2010-2012 and was elected to a three-year term on the U.S. Commerce Department-sponsored U.S.-Iraq Business Dialogue group from 2010-2013.


Tom has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s in International Business from DePaul University.   He has been married to Kathy for 27 years, and has three children aged 21, 23, and 25.
